Homosexual marriage adoption
This study aimed to identify the social representations of adoption by homosexual couples in the Brazilian reality. Structured interviews and sociodemographic questionnaires were used and were analyzed using the IRaMuTeQ software, which organized the social representations into classes of lexical proximity. Results showed, a Descending Hierarchical Classification, with two classes in the corpus of same-sex parent adoption and five classes in the corpus about childhood development. These mainly highlighted positive social representations, always seeking the best for the adoptee as the justification, however, unfavorable positions found reflected the fear that the child would not be able to cope with the family model. In this sense, it is believed that the social representations about adoption by homosexual couples documented in this study indicate concepts that could support social interventions that increase the civil rights of homosexual parents. The family model presented as the standard father, mother and children , which had its prime in the twentieth century, has been altering according to some social changes.

Adoption of Children by Homosexual Couples: The Social Representations
The Hungarian parliament has passed a law effectively banning same-sex couples from adopting children. The legislation put forward by Prime Minister Viktor Orban's right-wing government says only married couples can adopt, with some exceptions for single relatives of the child. Same-sex marriage is illegal in Hungary, but adoption has been possible if one partner applies on their own. An amendment also approved on Tuesday defines family as "based on marriage and the parent-child relation. The mother is a woman, the father a man". The government says the changes are needed as "new ideological processes in the West" have made it necessary to "protect children against possible ideological or biological interference". In May, Hungary's parliament approved a law that banned transgender people from changing the sex observed at birth on their official documents.

Adoption agency should be able to reject gay couples, Trump administration argues
The Trump administration submitted a brief to the Supreme Court on Wednesday arguing that a taxpayer-funded organization should be able to refuse to work with same-sex couples and others whom the group considers to be in violation of its religious beliefs. The brief was filed by the Department of Justice in the case Fulton v. The latter argument cites a recent Supreme Court case in which the government intervened on behalf of baker Jack Phillips who refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple due to his religious beliefs. The high court awarded a narrow victory to Phillips on the grounds that the Colorado Human Rights Commission had shown hostility toward his religious views. Catholic Social Services sued Philadelphia in after the city ended its contract with the faith-based service provider upon learning the organization would not consider same-sex couples as potential parents for foster children.
